[Weird how much privacy there is in the temple hallways, huh? It's also weird how Alex approaches him from behind and just starts talking.]

You certainly made some bold decisions this week, didn't you?

Was this one person worth revealing your alignment for?

I'm not necessarily sticking with my god this week, so it doesn't matter.

I was going to say... [He really was but I though I was babbling so I didn't finish the last sentence.] But with the field shrinking and no evidence of anyone being compelled to switch yet, that could still end up rather telling, couldn't it?

I mean, unless all of Ambition's followers who had Advancement Opportunity last week left or switched powers, I bet a bunch of us were hit by it this week too.

That is likely, yes, but not necessarily guaranteed. With one piece of evidence potentially fabricated, that leaves a maximum of four people who could have that ability.

But seeing as that likely is moot, I'm still left wondering how satisfied you are with yourself.

And why do you want to know that?

It can't be that surprising for someone your situation to have their fortitude questioned, can it?

Oh, do you have any theories regarding this week's unsolved murders?

Newt was suspicious because of the whole Mutiny gambit—admit to being guilty of a lesser crime and people will forget that you could still be responsible for the larger crime. That's why I thought he was lying.

As for anyone else? Not yet.

I found the situation questionable, as well. I didn't want to keep wasting time on what had happened because of it, though.

[Which is why he pretty much went "noted, move on" but was still side-eyeing him (which would have been more obvious if I wasn't caught up reading all of that and tagged more).]

Well, you did do well on that matter, at least.
